2023 MCF Grant's Application, terms and eligibility

The Maritime Cluster Fund (MCF), which was introduced by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), aims to promote the growth of Singapore's maritime cluster by providing support for the industry's manpower and business development efforts, as well as its drive for productivity improvements.

MSTS Asia offers courses that fall under the purview of MCF-Manpower, which co-funds the development of manpower, training initiatives, and capabilities within the maritime industry. The fund is accessible to both companies and individuals and aims to develop and enhance the relevant skills of employees.

The Maritime Cluster Fund (MCF) Training Grant is available at MSTS Singapore. The MCF will provide a 50% Training Grant for the course fees (at a promotional price 🤩) for the following: 

  • Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (with Emergency Breathing System) and
    Travel Safely By Boat (BOSIET + BT)
  • Further Offshore Emergency Training with EBS (Emergency Breathing System) and Travel Safely by
    Boat (FOET + BT)

2023 Skillsfuture's Application, terms and eligibility

SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) is responsible for driving and coordinating the implementation of the national SkillsFuture movement in Singapore. Its primary objective is to promote a culture and a comprehensive system of lifelong learning, with a focus on skills mastery. Additionally, SSG aims to enhance the quality of education and training in Singapore by strengthening the ecosystem supporting these activities.

Prospective candidates can apply for eligible courses offered by MSTS and utilise their SkillsFuture Credit. This credit is provided by the government of Singapore to all Singaporean citizens who are 25 years of age or older and can be used for the purposes of lifelong learning and skills development. It should be noted that the credit can only be applied towards the published rate of the course.
